Elgin, with its high altitudes produces cool nights which lead to wines with elegance. Iona, with its Sauvignon Blancs that really age. I received a case of their Sauvignon Blancs, the best were the 2005’s under screw cap. Some of their older Sauvignon Blancs with corks were not drinking as well. I have a 2002 left. Paul Cluver makes beautiful, aromatic wines. As far as Shannon is concerned. A brilliant winery. Mount Bullet, a beautiful wine. A real stunner, also make a wonderful Pinot Noir when I was there and an apparently a unique Pinot Noir with botrytis.
